How to Access PurelyHR Login

  • Open a web browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) and enter the URL supplied by your PurelyHR Login Administrator.
  • Note: To access Purely HR, please contact your HR administrator for your department’s URL connection.
  • The PurelyHR Sign In page appears. Enter your McGill Username and Password (first.last@mcgill.ca).
  • Click the Sign in button.

How to Reset your PurelyHR Login Password

  • If you have already logged in and have forgotten your username or password, simply click the “Forgot USERNAME or PASSWORD” link on the login page.
  • Enter your email address and choose retrieve after clicking the password reset link. After that, you’ll get an email with information on how to reset your password.Please keep in mind that the email address you submit here must match the email address in your profile.
  • Choose the “Reset Password” link from the email.
  • Make a new password.
  • Select “Submit”
  • Enter your CompanyID, username, and the new password you just established. The Password Reset email contains your CompanyID and username.
  • Select “Sign in”

How to Activate/Register on PurelyHR

  • From the Staff Directory, select Create User.
  • Choose an option for this user’s role: employee, manager, or administrator.
  • Fill in the following required fields: First and last name, job title, date of hire, office, email address, and username
  • Optional options include Employee ID, Department, Manager, and Alternate Email.
  • Click Save
